The inspired musician and artist who calls himself Momus (after the Greek god of mockery and satire and overly mean criticism) announced earlier this year that he had planned to call it quits on the eve of his 50th birthday and today was it. He&#8217;s not completely dropped off the face of the internet however,<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"text-align: justify;\"><p>3. <strong>Where can we find out what you&#8217;re up to, post-blog?<\/strong> From my &#8220;personal digital assistant&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/wolon\">Maria Wolonski<\/a>, who announces my engagements in the charming, ringing tones of a talking clock. From the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.last.fm\/music\/Momus\/+events\">Momus concerts page<\/a> on LastFM. From my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/imomus\/\">Flickr page<\/a> and my two YouTube accounts, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/momasu\"><strong>momasu<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/bookofjokes\"><strong>bookofjokes<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>. I may even revive my old website (1995-2003), <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/imomus.com\">imomus.com<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He&#8217;s been blogging in one way or another for over a decade and I&#8217;ve been reading his LiveJournal since it opened in 2004. (<a href=\"http:\/\/iamsaturn.tumblr.com\/\">Matt Brehe<\/a> told me about him, I think.) The subject of his daily essays range widely but have mostly to do with culture, art,\u00a0 or Momus himself.
