Helena was treated to a quick snowstorm this afternoon. After eating my lunch on the back porch steps in the sun I didn’t expect the weather to turn so soon. But McKenzie called it on the ride back to work saying that it has been threatening for days.
McK and I represented the Push Bike Safety League at the initial meeting of the as yet to be officially named Helena Bike Project. It’s the beginning of a collective tool share, community bike project to come here in Helena. There was lots if interest for a first meeting to be sure and I’m looking forward to what could turn out to be a way cool project. There’s scant information online now (I mean we just met tonight) but if you’re interested this space will be worth watching: Helena Bike Project.
McKenzie’s awesome name suggestions: The Spokes People, The Bent Spoke Collective, or One Helena Bike Co-op, or something else?

Holy cucumber Batman! McK and I are starting a food garden for the first time and some of our plants are already coming up well. The kale rocketed up after three days of planting, the tomatoes were next, and this little guy is a cucumber plant.
