This year’s Christmas was particularly special, as it was my nephew Bannack’s first. He got many beautiful gifts and was cheerful all day long. It is a Christmas to remember.

McK on the Farm

McKenzie is house, horse and dog sitting over Christmas. This means staying away from home and driving out to the valley several times a day to care for two dogs and a barn-full of horses. Evey night she’s out doing chores, even on Christmas.

The cats’ litter box is banished to the back porch where it’s less smelly. They can gain access via an open indoor window but the heat went pouring out as soon as it got cold. I made this temporary portal for them with blue foam until a I install a more permanent solution. But just because it’s temporary doesn’t mean I can’t decorate it.
