Sunday Dinner

As many times as we can, we go to my parents house on Sunday for dinner. This week was a really special one.

Chris made a batch of home made beer with constant input from Jackson who stayed uncommonly calm.

Of course this Sunday dinner was another opportunity to see Bannack who is getting more charming every day.

Best of all though—topping even the green lazer—was the incredible Indian food my mother made. It was really really good. Lucky me, I got to take some left overs home.

A Night Out With Bannack

Sara and Chris took Bannack out to Reilly’s last night to hear live music; they invited us along! Lynn Marie & the Wobblyboy were playing, and even played a song for Bannack.
McK got to catch up with Esther and Jen and I stole Bannack away and watched him sleep.

In the main atrium there is the mounted skeleton of a baleen whale. It was very realistic.

I visited Monet in his studio after enjoying his lily paintings, though I was distracted by a phone call.

We ate a lunch from the Finnians Rainbow cart across Broadway. This is the look of hungry people recently fed.

Nordic Skiing at the Harriman

The Harriman Ranch is ideal for cross country skiing. There are miles and miles of (mostly) groomed trails for skiers to explore. There was no one to groom on New Years Day and over the night we got several inches of fresh powder but we went out any way. I’m glad we did.

Maci’s Two Christmases

McKenzie’s niece Maci is 8. Whenever she’s in Helena we try to go and see her because she’s so cool to hang out with. This weekend, before we left for the Harriman, we stopped out to McKenzie’s Mom’s and watched Maci open all her Helena presents.

She’s big into horses and was thrilled to get a full set of riding gear including these new jodhpurs and riding boots.
