Halfy Birthday Bannack

Today is Bannack’s half birthday. The past six months have slipped by so quickly! How did you manage to grow this much so fast Bannack? I hope you don’t keep getting older at this same rate, otherwise soon enough you’ll be as old as the rest of us, little man.

We celebrated his Birthday with a nice family lunch today at noon. Mom made some great veggie soup and Jackson was jumping up for joy.

Family Lunch

This week the whole family was able to get together and have lunch with Bannack. Sara made some incredible veggie chili and though no one was able to stay for long we all got to sit down and share lunch European-style.

Bannack was in a great mood, growling away, and even managed to take his first photographs. They’re pretty good, you know, for a baby. I set the shutter timer and gave Bannack the camera, he composed the shot (steadying the camera by putting a corner of it in his mouth) and voilà!

I hope we keep this tradition up, it improved my workweek tenfold.

Big Bug, Boo

Bannack

A few times this week I had the opportunity to visit my nephew on my lunch hour. My mom and I got to play a few games that Bannack likes including Big Bug, Boo. In this game you hold your hand high above the baby then simultaneously chant, “big bug, big bug, big bug” as you clinch and spread out your hand (that’s the bug) bringing it closer and closer to the baby until you reach him and tickle him and go, “boo!”

This photo should stand as evidence that babies love a few minutes of Big Bug, Boo in the afternoon.

Say Uncle!

You have met my baby nephew Bannack by now. Yesterday I ran to my sister and Chris’ house to pickup a copy of TurboTax thinking the errand would only take a moment. But look at this guy! I ended up ten minutes late for work because I stayed too long chatting up this little guy.

My sister recaps Bannack’s Valentine’s Day in a recent post.
